Index trading on MetaTrader 5

Take a view on the whole market

An index is the cleanest way to trade a macro idea: one instrument, one spread, and none of the single‑stock risk that comes with picking a name. You can be long the US and short Europe at the same time, hedge an equity book overnight, or trade a central bank decision without choosing which company reacts to it.

  • US, European and Asian benchmarks in one list
  • Cash indices for intraday, futures for longer holds
  • Short as easily as long, with no borrow to arrange
  • Fractional sizing so a benchmark fits a small account

What you can trade

The benchmarks people actually watch, quoted through their own session and beyond it.

US benchmarks

US30, NAS100 and SPX500 — the deepest index books we quote, and the ones that carry the most volume around the New York open and the closing hour.

European benchmarks

GER40, UK100, FRA40 and EU50, for trading a European rate decision or an inflation print without waiting for the US session to open.

Asian benchmarks

JP225, HK50 and AUS200, so the Asian session is a market you can trade rather than a gap you find waiting for you in the morning.

Cash and futures

Cash indices carry a swap and suit intraday work; the futures contracts carry no swap and suit positions held for weeks. Both are in the same symbol tree.

Adjustments handled

Dividend adjustments on cash indices and contract rollovers on futures are applied to your account automatically and shown as separate entries on the statement.

Extended hours

Most benchmarks are quoted well outside their home exchange hours, so a position can be managed when the news lands rather than at the next open.
